<p>Tingyi (Leo) Liu received Bachelor of Engineering degree (with honor) from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou China, in 2009. He is currently working toward the PhD degree in mechanical engineering at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Working in the Micro and Nano Manufacturing Laboratory, UCLA, his research interests include engineering designs utilizing capillarity, liquid-metal-based micro devices, and micro gyroscope systems. Prior to working on the micro rotary stage project, Mr. Liu has worked on the characterization of non-toxic liquid-metal alloy Galinstan<sup>®</sup> and presented the related paper in IEEE Micro-Electromechanical Systems 2010 conference (MEMS’10) in Hong Kong, China.</p>
